    ​ABANDONED PROPERTY NOTIFICATION

    Minnesota Statute 343.21

    Subd. 5. Abandonment. No person shall abandon any animal.
    Subd. 6. Temporary abandonment. No person shall allow any maimed, sick, infirm, or disabled animal to lie in any street, road, or other public place for more than three hours after receiving notice of the animal's condition

    It has come to the attention of the Minnesota Federated Humane Societies that this property may no longer be occupied. It is alleged that there may be animal(s) on the property that have been abandoned and/or are not receiving proper care and/or attention.

    This notification is to advise the owner or caretaker of the animal(s) to contact Minnesota Federated Humane Societies to discuss the status of the animal(s) in his/her care. If our office has not been contacted within 24 hours of the date/time on this notification, the animal(s) may be removed from the property for their safety, health or welfare.

    If the animal(s) are taken into custody for care or treatment, a court hearing may be necessary to regain custody of the animal(s).
