Our state humane agents are the background of our organization. They investigate cases and reports of animal abuse, neglect and cruelty across Minnesota and work hand in hand with law enforcement to hold those accountable for abusing and neglecting animals and to upload the animal welfare laws.
Unfortunately, animal abuse and cruelty happens in all cities, towns and counties in Minnesota, and we need to expand our network of qualified and professional state humane agents in all 87 Minnesota counties. We need state humane agents in several counties, primarily in the western part of the state and need to appoint and train at least 52 more agents to do the important work we do every day throughout the state. Our state humane agents conduct welfare checks, provide education, investigate suspected animal welfare violations and assist law enforcement in investigating cases of animal abuse and cruelty and holding those responsible for these crimes accountable.
